ESG REPORTING & DISCLOSURE

Sustainability Reporting Consultancy

Turn dispersed ESG evidence into a reviewable reporting pack. Keep decisions and signoff with your team.

AIGreen Plus can scope a practical reporting workstream for a Malaysian manufacturer, map material topics and evidence, and prepare a traceable draft pack. The engagement is consultancy and proposed digital assistance, not installed software, external assurance, a certification service or a promise of filing acceptance.

WHAT DOES THIS CONSULTANCY OUTLINE COVER?

Sustainability Reporting Consultancy helps a manufacturer define its reporting boundary, identify material topics, organise evidence and prepare a management-review draft aligned to an agreed framework. Inputs can include policies, site records, energy and water data, workforce and supply-chain evidence, and prior disclosures. Consultants flag gaps and assumptions; named client owners validate facts, approve wording and decide what is ultimately published.

02 / FIVE REVIEW STAGES

Five steps, with an accountable owner.

Evidence, assumptions and open questions move through a human review route. No certification or automatic conclusion is implied.

  1. 01

    Scope and boundaries

    Agree audience, period and boundary

Confirm reporting purpose, entities, sites, period, framework options and exclusions in a written scope note.

OWNER / CONTROLClient sponsor / consultant
  2. 02

    Evidence and data map

    Map owners, sources and gaps

Catalogue approved records and propose a data structure for topics, metrics, evidence and reviewer status.

OWNER / CONTROLData owners / consultant
  3. 03

    Materiality and analysis

    Prioritise relevant reporting topics

Facilitate a documented topic and stakeholder review, then analyse completeness, consistency and stated assumptions.

OWNER / CONTROLManagement / qualified adviser
  4. 04

    Qualified review

    Challenge claims and calculations

Run an evidence challenge, reconcile selected figures and mark unresolved items without presenting them as verified findings.

OWNER / CONTROLClient approver / subject specialists
  5. 05

    Handover and roadmap

    Deliver a controlled reporting pack

Handover the reviewed draft, evidence register, decision log and next-cycle improvement actions for client approval.

OWNER / CONTROLClient sponsor / consultant

If a check fails: Hold the record for its owner, correct the source and preserve the approved manual fallback.

03 / RESPONSIBILITIES

Organise the work. Keep conclusions with people.

The proposed support can structure records and questions; responsible owners still assess evidence, applicability and decisions.

Collect site and corporate evidenceEmail folders and spreadsheets are reconciled by repeated follow-ups.Proposed evidence register and status views could organise approved files and owners.Data owners confirm completeness, period and permission before inclusion.
Map topics to disclosuresTeams manually compare prior reports, stakeholder concerns and framework guidance.A scoped mapping workbook can link topics, indicators, evidence and draft locations.Management selects material topics and approves the reporting basis.
Check metric narrativesReviewers reperform basic tie-outs and search for unsupported statements.Proposed checks can flag missing units, periods, factor provenance or evidence links.Qualified reviewers resolve exceptions and approve every published claim.
Prepare the reporting packDrafting, comments and version control move across disconnected documents.A bounded draft workspace can assemble agreed content and an issue log.The authorised signatory controls wording, release and any external submission.
Scattered evidence

Create a traceable evidence base

Propose a register that links each draft disclosure to an owner, period, source and review status.

Unclear material topics

Make prioritisation explicit

Facilitate a documented materiality discussion rather than selecting topics on behalf of management.

Inconsistent metrics

Improve comparable working papers

Standardise units, boundaries, assumptions and factor provenance for agreed metrics before review.

Late review surprises

Surface gaps earlier

Maintain an exception and decision log so unresolved evidence is visible before a draft is approved.

04 / HONEST HYPOTHETICAL FIGURES

Show the working behind a planning example.

These figures are modest arithmetic for discussion, not customer evidence, forecasts, emissions claims, payroll promises or guaranteed outcomes.

HYPOTHETICAL WORKED EXAMPLE / NOT CUSTOMER RESULTS
REPETITIVE ADMIN EFFORT36.4%less labour time per one evidence record checked for owner, period, unit, source and review status

55 → 35 combined labour minutes for the same task.

TIME CAPACITY8.0hours / month released

See assumptions and calculations
MeasureIllustrative calculationMeaning and limit
Labour effort(55 − 35) ÷ 55 × 100 = 36.4%Same workload and expected review quality; includes ongoing exception checks as scoped.
Time capacity(55 − 35) × 24 ÷ 60 = 8.0 hoursReleased time is not payroll savings or guaranteed job reduction.
Admin checks(12 − 5) ÷ 100 = 7.0 percentage points; 58.3% relativeSeparate hypothetical like-for-like check: entries needing correction in a 100-entry administrative sample. The figures are not measured results, an assurance opinion, a compliance rate or a reporting-quality guarantee.

Hypothetical same-workload example: one client coordinator and one consultant spend 55 combined minutes gathering, checking and reconciling a record before a reviewable register entry; with an agreed template and exception queue, the same roles spend 35 combined minutes including client review and exception effort. It does not represent headcount reduction, payroll savings or faster environmental performance.

Scenario figures are illustrative arithmetic, not benchmarks, forecasts, actual customer results or guarantees. Measure a like-for-like pilot with the same definitions before making a claim.

Inputs, boundaries and ownership should be clear.

These lists are a starting point. Final scope, access, professional responsibility and outputs require written agreement.

STARTING INPUTS

What to prepare

  • Reporting purpose, intended audience, entity/site list, period and boundary decisions from the client sponsor
  • Material-topic, stakeholder and risk inputs from management, procurement, EHS and relevant business owners
  • Energy, fuel, water, waste and other activity records with unit, quantity, period, source/version/date and reviewer fields
  • Policies, targets, incidents or programmes, workforce and supply-chain evidence approved for reporting use
  • Prior reports, framework choices, board or management review comments and authorised disclosure templates
SCOPE / CONTROL

What to agree in writing

  • This is scoped consultancy and proposed digital assistance, not a software product already installed or an automatic reporting system.
  • The client owns boundary, materiality, data accuracy, wording, signoff and publication; every external filing or submission remains authorised client work.
  • External assurance, certification, accreditation and independent verification are separate engagements; readiness support is not an assurance opinion.
  • Applicability of Bursa requirements, GRI, ISSB or other frameworks must be confirmed for the organisation and period with qualified advisers; this page is not legal or tax advice.
  • Access, confidentiality, retention, integrations, recurring support, licences, training and fees require written agreement and least-necessary approved data; no live vehicle, map or sensor collection is assumed.
Confidence comes from traceable evidence.

Set definitions, boundaries, source ownership and review responsibility before interpreting a result. A qualified responsible person decides whether a finding is applicable.

07 / CLEAR ANSWERS

10 questions. Practical answers.

Clear answers

Frequently asked questions.

Ten practical answers about scope, sources, review and responsible use.

What does Sustainability Reporting Consultancy deliver?

A typical scoped engagement can deliver a reporting-basis note, material-topic record, evidence register, gap and exception log, selected metric working papers, and a management-review draft. The exact pack depends on entities, period, audience and the framework options agreed at discovery.

What information should a Malaysian manufacturer prepare first?

Start with the entity and site list, reporting period, prior report, policies, stakeholder and risk inputs, and named data owners. For Scope 1, 2 and 3 work, a proposed record should capture scope/category, activity or source, selectable unit, quantity, factor and factor unit, factor source/version/date, period, evidence and reviewer.

Which reporting standard or method will you use?

We can scope against an agreed combination of Bursa guidance where relevant, GRI Standards, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards or another client-approved basis. GRI is impact-oriented, while ISSB is investor-focused. Framework choice and applicability are decisions for management and qualified advisers, not an automatic recommendation.

Who approves the final sustainability report?

Your authorised management and governance owners approve boundaries, material topics, figures, claims and release. AIGreen Plus can facilitate review and document unresolved items, but it does not sign on behalf of the company, replace subject-matter owners or submit a filing without written authority.

Is this the same as certification or independent assurance?

No. We can help organise evidence and prepare for a qualified review, but readiness is not certification, accreditation or an assurance opinion. If independent assurance is required, the organisation should appoint a suitably qualified external provider under a separate scope.

Are the dashboard numbers and time scenario actual results?

No. The dashboard rows and administrative-effort scenario are fictional illustrations designed to show how a review queue could be structured. They are not customer data, measured emissions, energy savings, headcount savings, benchmark estimates or promises. A client baseline would be established from approved records.

How is confidentiality and access handled?

Access should be limited to the least necessary approved documents and named roles, with retention, transfer and deletion terms agreed in writing. Sensitive workforce, supplier and commercial information can be anonymised or aggregated where appropriate. This marketing page does not make a legal-compliance or cybersecurity certification promise.

Can this work with our existing ERP, spreadsheets or reporting tools?

Possibly, subject to discovery, permissions, export formats, provider terms and written scope. We can assess an ERP export, spreadsheet register or document repository and propose a controlled handoff. No integration, API, sensor, fleet or map service is assumed to exist or included until confirmed.

How long does the engagement take?

Timing depends on scope, number of sites, data maturity, framework choice, access approvals and reviewer availability. We do not promise a fixed duration from this page. Discovery can sequence milestones around the client reporting calendar, with explicit dependencies and review gates recorded in the agreed plan.

What affects the quotation and ongoing support boundary?

Price and support depend on entities and sites, reporting period, framework depth, data volume, workshops, calculations, drafting, review cycles, access, integration feasibility and whether recurring refreshes are requested. Any recurring service, training, licence, external assurance or specialist work must be separately described and agreed; 24/7 support is not implied.

08 / SOURCE NOTES

Check the current public material.

These references support an initial discussion only. They do not make AIGreen Plus an accredited or certified verifier.

Public official material — not accreditation.

These official pages support the bounded descriptions of Bursa guidance, GRI impact reporting and ISSB investor-focused disclosure. They do not determine whether a particular Malaysian manufacturer is subject to a requirement, which framework applies, or whether a report is legally sufficient; applicability must be confirmed for the organisation and reporting period with qualified advisers.

Dashboards and numerical scenarios are fictional planning examples. The services are proposed consultancy scopes, not certification, accreditation, assurance, legal advice, regulatory approval or a promise of emissions, cost, staffing, safety, quality or market outcomes.
