Sustainability Disclosure Readiness
Turn disclosure requirements into an evidence-led readiness plan. Keep every judgement with your authorised reviewers.
AIGreen Plus proposes a practical readiness engagement for Malaysian manufacturers preparing sustainability information. We map the applicable reporting perimeter, trace evidence and owners, identify gaps, and build a reviewable action plan. The work is consultancy and scoped digital assistance, not installed software, assurance, certification or a regulatory opinion.

Sustainability Disclosure Readiness helps a manufacturer understand what information a proposed disclosure pack may need, where the evidence sits, and which gaps require owner action. We can map governance, strategy, risk, metrics and targets against an agreed framework such as the Malaysian NSRF baseline and IFRS S1/S2, subject to applicability review. Outputs are a boundary note, evidence register, gap log and roadmap. Management and qualified advisers approve conclusions.

The proposed support can structure records and questions; responsible owners still assess evidence, applicability and decisions.
| Review point | Common starting position | Proposed consultancy support | Responsible reviewer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identify disclosure topics and boundary | Teams reconcile requirements and scope notes across spreadsheets and emails. | Proposed consultancy templates organise a requirement-to-evidence map and flag unassigned items. | Authorised management and advisers confirm applicability, materiality and exclusions. |
| Trace evidence and provenance | Owners search folders and explain versions, periods and source records repeatedly. | Proposed digital assistance can structure an evidence register and status view from approved files. | Data owners verify authenticity, permissions, period and reviewer signoff. |
| Review climate and value-chain data | Operations, finance and procurement compare activity records and methodological notes. | A scoped review workbook can highlight missing Scope 1, 2 or 3 fields and unresolved assumptions. | Qualified reviewers approve boundaries, factors, estimates and disclosure judgements. |
| Maintain gap and action log | Progress is tracked through meetings and changing action lists. | A proposed prioritised register groups gaps by owner, evidence need, dependency and review status. | Client leadership sets priorities, accepts residual gaps and approves the handover. |
Make scope explicit
Document entity, period, boundary and intended framework assumptions before evidence collection.
Improve traceability
Use a controlled evidence register linking each proposed disclosure item to an owner, source and review status.
Expose data gaps
Propose a consistent structure for Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 records so review questions are visible early.
Create a decision-ready roadmap
Rank follow-up by reporting relevance, evidence dependency and accountable owner without promising an outcome.

45 → 30 combined labour minutes for the same task.
12 one monthly disclosure evidence pack reviewed by client and consultant units per month × 15 minutes less per unit.
9 → 4 per 100 checked error-affected administrative entries, not incidents/accidents/disease/product defect outcomes (5.0 percentage points).
See assumptions and calculations
| Measure | Illustrative calculation | Meaning and limit |
|---|---|---|
| Labour effort | (45 − 30) ÷ 45 × 100 = 33.3% | Same workload and expected review quality; includes ongoing exception checks as scoped. |
| Time capacity | (45 − 30) × 12 ÷ 60 = 3.0 hours | Released time is not payroll savings or guaranteed job reduction. |
| Admin checks | (9 − 4) ÷ 100 = 5.0 percentage points; 55.6% relative | Separate hypothetical like-for-like administrative check of disclosure evidence entries. The figures are not benchmark estimates, measured results, assurance findings or a quality, compliance or environmental guarantee. |
Hypothetical same-workload illustration: 45 minutes represents gathering, cross-checking, consultant review and exception follow-up before a structured register; 30 minutes represents the same activities using an agreed template and status fields. It is administrative effort only, not headcount reduction, payroll saving, emissions improvement or certification.
Scenario figures are illustrative arithmetic, not benchmarks, forecasts, actual customer results or guarantees. Measure a like-for-like pilot with the same definitions before making a claim.

What to prepare
- Reporting entity structure, sites, period, intended audience and proposed framework from the client sponsor.
- Prior sustainability reports, policies, board or management materials and approved disclosure templates from the sustainability lead.
- Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 activity records: scope and category, activity/source, selectable unit, quantity, emission factor and factor unit such as kgCO2e/unit, factor source/version/date, reporting period, evidence and reviewer.
- Risk, opportunity, target, metric and performance records from finance, operations, EHS and procurement owners, including methodology and approval status.
- Access, retention, confidentiality, system-export and contact details agreed by the client IT/data custodian; any vehicle, map or IoT collection is a separate feasibility topic.
What to agree in writing
- This is scoped consultancy and proposed digital assistance, not an installed software product, automated reporting service or universal system integration.
- Applicability of the Malaysian NSRF, IFRS S1/S2, Bursa requirements or other regimes must be confirmed for the organisation and reporting period with qualified advisers; this page is not legal or tax advice.
- Readiness review is distinct from external assurance, certification and regulator acceptance; AIGreen Plus does not issue accredited assurance or certify disclosures.
- Client-authorised users retain control of access, retention, source approval, estimates, materiality, signoff and publication; only necessary approved data should be shared.
- Fees, duration, recurring support, integrations, licences, training, translations and any later reporting production require a written scope and are not included or promised here.

Frequently asked questions.
Ten practical answers about scope, sources, review and responsible use.
What does Sustainability Disclosure Readiness produce for a Malaysian manufacturer?
The proposed outputs are a scope and boundary note, requirement-to-evidence map, structured evidence register, gap and assumptions log, review questions and prioritised roadmap. They support management preparation; they are not a completed disclosure, assurance report, certification or regulator determination.
What information do you need at the start?
Start with the entity and site perimeter, reporting period, intended audience, proposed framework, prior reports, policies, governance materials, risk and target records, and nominated owners. For emissions-related information, provide source records and provenance rather than unsupported totals.
How would you structure Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 data?
We would propose fields for scope and category, activity or source, selectable unit, quantity, emission factor and factor unit, factor source/version/date, reporting period, evidence and reviewer. The structure is a consultancy template, not an implemented data-entry application or approved factor library.
Which reporting method or standard will you use?
The starting point can include Malaysia’s NSRF baseline and IFRS S1/S2, with other customer or value-chain requirements considered in scope. The applicable framework, reliefs, boundaries and materiality are confirmed for the organisation and period with qualified advisers, not assumed from the service name.
Who is accountable for approving the readiness conclusions?
Client management and nominated topic owners remain accountable for source approval, estimates, boundaries and disclosure judgements. Finance, operations, procurement, EHS or legal advisers may review relevant topics. AIGreen Plus can facilitate and document review but cannot replace authorised signoff or qualified advice.
Is readiness the same as certification or external assurance?
No. Readiness identifies evidence, gaps, assumptions and actions before reporting. It does not provide external assurance, certification, an accredited opinion or a promise of regulator acceptance. If assurance is required, the client appoints an appropriately qualified independent provider under a separate engagement.
Are the dashboard and time figures actual results or savings?
No. Dashboard rows and the administrative-effort scenario are fictional illustrations with a defined basis. They do not represent your emissions, energy, headcount, payroll, productivity, compliance status or environmental improvement. Agree a baseline and measurement method before using any client-specific figures.
How are confidentiality, access and privacy handled?
Access, retention, permitted files, roles and any transfer method are agreed in writing with the client data custodian. Share only necessary approved records and anonymise where practical. Security and privacy obligations require qualified Malaysian review; this service does not promise legal compliance or a particular platform control.
Can this work with our existing ERP, EHS, procurement or document systems?
Discovery can assess exports, formats, permissions and manual fallback options. A connection, vehicle-fleet feed, map service or IoT collection is optional feasibility and integration work subject to provider access, testing, licensing and written scope. No existing integration or installed product is implied.
How long will the review take, and what affects a quote?
No fixed timing or price is promised. Dependencies include boundary complexity, reporting framework, site and supplier coverage, evidence quality, reviewer availability, access approvals and whether follow-on drafting is requested. A written scope can define milestones, deliverables, one-off fees and any recurring support after discovery.

- Securities Commission Malaysia — National Sustainability Reporting Framework
The NSRF uses IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 as Malaysia's baseline sustainability disclosure standards, uses a phased and developmental approach, and includes transition reliefs such as climate-first reporting and additional time for complex Scope 3 reporting.
