Climate-Related Disclosure Readiness
Turn climate evidence into a reviewable disclosure plan. Keep decisions with your accountable team.
AIGreen Plus can scope a practical readiness review for a Malaysian manufacturer: map climate risks and opportunities, trace evidence, clarify owners and identify disclosure gaps. The work is a proposed consultancy engagement, not installed software, external assurance, legal advice or a promise of reporting acceptance.

Climate-Related Disclosure Readiness helps a manufacturer prepare for a qualified review of climate-related reporting information. We can map governance, strategy, risk-management processes, metrics and targets against an agreed reference such as IFRS S2, while checking boundaries, sources and approvals. The proposed outputs are a gap register, evidence map and action roadmap. Client owners validate facts and management signs off; applicability to the organisation and period must be confirmed with qualified advisers.

| Review point | Common starting position | Proposed consultancy support | Responsible reviewer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Map climate risks and opportunities | Teams reconcile spreadsheets, meeting notes and risk registers | Proposed structured evidence index and gap prompts | Risk owners confirm relevance, time horizon and wording |
| Trace metrics and targets | Analysts search for methods, factors, periods and approvals | Proposed source-to-disclosure cross-reference | Finance and technical owners validate calculations and assumptions |
| Check governance evidence | Collect policies, minutes, roles and control descriptions | Proposed checklist and evidence-status view | Authorised management confirms control operation and accountability |
| Prepare readiness roadmap | Open actions are maintained across email and working files | Proposed prioritised action register with dependencies | Sponsor accepts scope, priorities, dates and any external advice |
Make accountability visible
Define an owner and approver for each material disclosure input without transferring management responsibility.
Create a defensible evidence trail

Connect risk to disclosure
Bring governance, physical and transition risk, strategy, metrics and targets into one review structure.
Prioritise readiness actions
Separate missing evidence, unresolved assumptions and drafting tasks so the client can sequence decisions.

45 → 30 combined labour minutes for the same task.
12 one evidence-pack review record units per month × 15 minutes less per unit.
9 → 4 per 100 checked error-affected administrative disclosure records, not environmental incidents, compliance outcomes or assurance findings (5.0 percentage points).
See assumptions and calculations
| Measure | Illustrative calculation | Meaning and limit |
|---|---|---|
| Labour effort | (45 − 30) ÷ 45 × 100 = 33.3% | Same workload and expected review quality; includes ongoing exception checks as scoped. |
| Time capacity | (45 − 30) × 12 ÷ 60 = 3.0 hours | Released time is not payroll savings or guaranteed job reduction. |
| Admin checks | (9 − 4) ÷ 100 = 5.0 percentage points; 55.6% relative | Separate hypothetical like-for-like administrative check of 100 records; the figures indicate record rework observed in the scenario only, not environmental performance or reporting acceptance. |
Hypothetical same-workload comparison: a client team and consultant spend 45 minutes gathering, checking and reconciling one evidence-pack review record before a structured readiness approach, versus 30 minutes after agreed templates and review routing. Both figures include consultant/client review and exception effort; they are not a benchmark or promised saving.
Scenario figures are illustrative arithmetic, not benchmarks, forecasts, actual customer results or guarantees. Measure a like-for-like pilot with the same definitions before making a claim.

What to prepare
- Reporting entity structure, period, intended audience and applicable listing or group context from the client sponsor
- Climate governance policies, committee terms, minutes, roles, controls and risk-management materials from management
- Physical and transition risk assessments, scenario assumptions and strategic planning records from risk and operations owners
- Metrics, targets and supporting activity records; for GHG data, proposed Scope 1/2/3 records with unit, quantity, factor, source/version/date and reviewer
- Draft disclosures, prior reports, contracts or supplier/site evidence approved for access by the document owners
What to agree in writing
- This is scoped consultancy and proposed digital assistance, not installed software, a reporting platform or an automatic data connection.
- Readiness is distinct from certification, external assurance, audit opinion, regulator acceptance and any AIGreen Plus accreditation claim.
- Applicability of NSRF, Bursa requirements, IFRS S2 or other rules is confirmed for the organisation and period with qualified Malaysian advisers; this is not legal or tax advice.
- Client owners approve boundaries, estimates, factors, materiality, disclosures and final submissions; access, retention, confidentiality and anonymisation require written agreement.
- Fees, timing, recurring support, integrations, training and follow-on work depend on discovery and written scope; fleet tracking, maps and IoT collection are optional feasibility topics only.

Frequently asked questions.
Ten practical answers about scope, sources, review and responsible use.
What does Climate-Related Disclosure Readiness actually cover?
It can cover scope definition, evidence mapping, climate risk and opportunity review, governance and control documentation, metrics and target traceability, gap analysis and a prioritised roadmap. The agreed reference and deliverables are set during discovery; it does not produce an automatic filing or assurance opinion.
What information should a Malaysian manufacturer prepare first?
Start with the reporting entity and period, governance records, risk registers, strategy papers, metrics and targets, methods and assumptions, prior disclosures, and evidence owners. For corporate GHG data, propose records for Scope 1, 2 and 3 with category, activity, unit, quantity, factor, factor source/version/date, period, evidence and reviewer.
Which standard or method will you use?
The scope may use IFRS S2 and a Malaysian NSRF context where relevant, or another client-approved basis. IFRS S2 addresses governance, strategy, risk-management processes, and performance including targets. We do not provide paywalled standards, and qualified advisers confirm applicability and interpretation.
Who signs off the climate disclosure readiness work?
Client management remains accountable. Relevant finance, risk, operations, sustainability and technical owners should validate records and assumptions, while the authorised sponsor approves the scope and roadmap. A consultant can facilitate challenge and document decisions but cannot replace board, management or qualified adviser sign-off.
Is readiness the same as certification or external assurance?
No. Readiness identifies evidence, ownership, gaps and review actions. It is not certification, an audit, external assurance, a regulator conclusion or a statement that a disclosure complies. If assurance is desired, the organisation appoints an independent qualified provider under a separate arrangement.
Are the dashboard figures or scenario time numbers actual results?
No. The dashboard rows and the before/after minutes are fictional planning illustrations. They are designed to show how records and administrative effort could be discussed, not measured emissions, energy improvements, headcount reduction, payroll savings, compliance results or a guaranteed outcome. Agree a measurement method before using real data.
How will confidentiality and access be handled?
Access should be limited to the least necessary approved documents and roles, with anonymised or redacted samples where practical. The client sets retention, storage, transfer and deletion requirements in writing. A qualified Malaysian reviewer should assess privacy, confidentiality and contractual obligations; this service is not a compliance promise.
Can this work with our existing ERP, spreadsheets or reporting tools?
Possibly, after discovery of formats, permissions, exports, owners and data quality. The proposal may use controlled files or scoped digital assistance; it does not assume an existing product integration. Fleet systems, maps, IoT sensors and APIs are optional feasibility topics requiring provider permission and written scope.
How long will the readiness review take?
Timing depends on entity complexity, reporting period, evidence volume, owner availability, review cycles and unresolved estimates. We will agree milestones after a discovery review rather than invent a duration. Delays in source records or management decisions can move the handover date.
What affects the quotation and ongoing support boundary?
Price and support depend on entities, sites, reference frameworks, data volume, workshops, technical review, access controls, integrations, travel, revisions and whether follow-on reporting support is requested. No price or 24/7 support is implied here; recurring work and response terms require a written proposal.
